United States, WWII - Army Air Service Aircraft Pilot Wing. Authorized June 1919. Constructed out of a die struck sterling silver base that has been chemically burnished and lacquered. The semi-hollow back reverse is marked: “Sterling” and has a well working, soldered-on hinge, catch and pin assembly. It measures 3 inches wide by 13/16 inches tall.
