Buttonhole - NSDAP Membership Pin by RZM M1/8
Buttonhole Variation - Nationalsozialistische Parteiabzeichen by RZM M1/8 - Ferdinand Wagner of Pforzheim. These were available for private purchase / given (HJ/BDM) to individuals after they had joined the NSDAP. It is constructed out of a die struck tombak base that has been silver washed and contains red, white and black enamel work. The round shaped obverse depicts a black mobile swastika on a white backing, encircled by: “NATIONAL-SOZIALISTISCHE - D.A.P.” on a red translucent pebbled backing. The slightly concave reverse shows a soldered on buttonhole assembly. The back is also marked “RZM M1/8” (the maker mark is much clearer in hand). The enamel work is in excellent condition! The pin measures approximately 15/16 of an inch in diameter. A very nice variation.
