Early Army Dagger by WKC
Early, Textbook, Heavy, Slant Grip, Tapered Tang - Model 1935 - Wehrmacht Heer Dolch by WKC of Solingen. The blade on this one has aged. The acid etched Knights Head “WKC Solingen” maker mark is perfectly executed. The fit is nice and tight and the tip comes to a perfect point. The blade rates Exc++. It shows age grey throughout. The steel, nickel silver plated scabbard provides wonderful detail with the random pebbling and hand enhanced oak leaf and acorn bands. It has two pressure marks. The two original throat retaining screws remain intact. The brass based silver plated WKC eagle crossguard provides beautiful details throughout the eagle’s head, wings, wreath, beak and chest. The pommel and ferrule are also beautifully detailed with proud oak leaves and acorns throughout. The early desirable slant orange trylon grip looks wonderful. Gorgeous matching patina throughout. Very Early, Textbook Configuration.
