U.S. WWII - Naval Bicorn Hat & Belt Group by HH
United States, WWII c.1943-1947 – Cased Naval Captain and Commander’s Cocked Bicorn Hat, Belt and Accessories Group by Hilborn-Hamburger Inc. of New York. Included in this grouping is:
- Naval Officer Cocked Bicorn Hat. It is covered in a black felted beaver fur with black lace trim and decorative gold tress, button and wire coils to either end. The interior is fully lined in silk with “7” size tag and maker mark. It is in great condition with minor wear throughout.
- There are two Sword Belts. One Is full leather and maker marked Hilborn-Hamburger Inc. The other black fabric with gold tress. Both have slings with gilt adornments.
- There is a holding board and case for the Naval Uniform Eagle Buttons. It features a “EGW” emblem to the exterior and is maker marked twice to the interior.
- A Hilborn-Hamburger Inc., Care and Preservation of Military Insignia and Equipment Instruction Paper.
- Finally the large wooden and faux leather covered case. Both exterior buttons work well. The reverse side hinge is torn. It features a “EGW” emblem to the exterior and is maker marked to the interior. It measures 18 ¾ inches wide by 9 ½ inches deep by 8 ¾ inches tall.
