Early E. P. & S. (Pack) SA Dagger

Here's a nice piece by one of the most common SA makers of the period: E. P. & S. The bright blade on this one looks good! It has some spotting and minor age grey. The tip and fit are both perfect, the crossgrain is stunning and the motto and maker mark are beautifully executed! The blade rates an Exc+/Exc++. The brown anodized scabbard has spotting and areas of light surface oxidization, along with one dent to the reverse. The solid nickel fittings are lightly worn and still look good. One of the screws is missing from the pictures, and I just replaced it. The ball is in perfect shape. The scabbard throat has a few marks to the front and at the bottom. The scabbard / crossguard fit is perfect and the patina matches perfectly. The solid nickel crossguards look good. There are a few minor dots to the top crossguard. The reverse of the lower fitting is stamped "Nrh" (Niederrhein). The brown hard wood grip looks great. There is a split just above the roundel (commonly seen) and several minor vertical lines throughout. There are no flakes or chips. The beautifully detailed solid nickel eagle has a perfect fit. The roundel also has a perfect fit and retains 100% of its enamel.
