Here's one for you experienced HJ collectors. There's a superb blade on this one, it's been cleaned along the way and has some runner marks. All the etching is nice and dark and features the unique font that only Eickhorn used on their mottos. Blade sure looks great and grades Exc++. Original buffer pad is intact. The crossguard quillons have just light evidence of wear and are properly upswept with the rope design. The grip on this HJ leader is really nice compared to some I have seen. Its original wire wrapping is tight and clean, practically perfect on its backside. A single reverse brad secures the pommel which in turn secures the wire. The pommel top has that great looking diamond Hitler Youth swas' which looks really nice with original burnish all intact. Scabbard has its original two piece really dark blue leather which is very nicely secured on the opposite side of the rings. There is very minor wear to the leather with some impressions that we expect to see on original pieces. The fittings are all silver washed and have gone dark with age (which is exactly what you want to see). The top fitting is embossed with the HJ eagle clutching a sword and hammer in it's talons. These always looks cool properly displayed. This has all the correct details. Overall a very nice, rare and completely original piece that has never been messed with.
