Luftwaffe Regimental Standarte for a Flying Unit

Well here's a tough item to find and the prize of any Luftwaffe collection. Flak units can be found but the standarte for a flying unit is the most highly prized. After all that's what the Luftwaffe was all about. This one I just purchased from south-western US collection. It has been carefully removed from the pole so as not to damage it and the only evidence is where the nail holes remain. This is beautifully clean with the exception of two very small areas of soiling to the gold-yellow silk which I have clearly shown. The double strand twisted silver aluminum fringes are all intact and there are no holes. All the bullion is intact and there is no powdering or oxidation of any kind. This has survived amazingly well with just the most minor of age. Look close and you will see the hours of handwork that went into one of these
