Fresh out of the woodwork! The fouled anchor etched blade on this one looks decent. It has age throughout. The acid etch, maker mark, fit and tip all still look great. The blade rates Exc+. The original buffer pad remains intact. The lightning bolt scabbard on this one has three dents and has toned with age. The hand enhanced tip, decorative lines and oak leaves with acorns are beautifully detailed. Both throat retaining screws remain intact. The scabbard / hilt fit is tightly secured by the well working button. The crossguard still retains most of its gold gilting and is in excellent condition. The third reich eagle pommel is beautifully detailed sitting proudly on top. The wood based, celluloid covered grip has several splits throughout. It appears as though someone has put some glue over the splits, most likely an attempt at trying to stop them from getting worse. The grip still retains a nice white tone and is a nice contrast to the brass twisted wire wrap, which remains tightly secured and all intact. A decent piece with a great price!
