Early Personalized Carl Fr. Kuhrt SA Dagger

I recently got this one out of the largest SA collection that I know of. It rates 8 out of 10 on McSarrs SA rarity rating. The blade is in awesome shape! The crossgrain is stunning running the full length of the blade. The fit is nice and tight, and the tip comes to a perfect point. The dark acid etched "Alles fur Deutschland" motto and ?Carl Fr. Kuhrt Zella Mehlis Kom.-Ges.? maker mark are beautifully executed! The blade rates an easy Exc++/NM. There is still some very minor spotting throughout. The brown anodized scabbard looks good. I believe it's had been painted black in the period, transferring the individual into the NSKK. Someone has then removed the black paint, why who knows. The individual who removed the paint had left some reminisce of it to some of the crevasses and scabbard fittings. The scabbard body remains completely dent free! The solid nickel scabbard fittings are in great condition! The bottom fitting has one or two pressure marks. The ball remains round with one or two bruises. All four screws remaining intact! The scabbard / crossguard fit is perfect and closes with a snap! The solid nickel crossguards are also in great condition! The reverse of the lower crossguard is Gau stamped "He" (Hessen). The grip / crossguard fits look great! The brown hardwood grip has a smooth finish and is in excellent condition. No cracks, flakes, chips or splits! The grip is personalized reading ?Gfi" (I believe). The solid nickel eagle is beautifully detailed with a perfect fit. The SA roundel also has a perfect fit and retains 95% of its enamel! A piece with a great blade and some real character!
