I recently got this one out of the largest SA collection that I know of. The blade is in great shape! The crossgrain looks good running the full length of the blade. The fit is nice and tight, and the tip comes to a perfect point. The dark acid etched "Alles fur Deutschland" motto and ?Gebr. Bohme Nachfl. Brotterode? maker mark are beautifully executed! The blade rates an Exc+/Exc++. There is some minor age grey throughout and the cutting edges are a bit rough. The brown anodized scabbard looks great remaining completely dent free and look at the lacquer remaining!!! You gotta love it. The solid nickel scabbard fittings are in great condition! The ball remains round with one small push. All four screws remaining intact! The scabbard / crossguard fit is perfect and closes with a snap! The solid nickel crossguards are also in great condition, matching the scabbard fittings in color and wear! The reverse of the lower crossguard is Gau stamped "Th" (Thuringen). The grip / crossguard fits look great! The brown hardwood grip has a smooth finish and is in excellent condition! No cracks, flakes, chips or splits! It has one or two pressure marks. The solid nickel eagle is beautifully detailed with a perfect fit. The SA roundel has no enamel but has a perfect fit! A great motto on this one!
