I love the Puma head maker mark, it's pretty cool! The bright blade on this one is awesome! The fit is perfect, the tip is perfect the crossgrain is stunning against the light and the very dark acid etched "Alles fur Deutschland" motto and "Puma Solingen" maker mark are both beautifully executed! The blade rates a solid Exc++/NM! It has just the slightest spotting throughout. The patinaed brown anodized scabbard looks good, remaining completely dent free! It has some surface oxidization spotting throughout. The nicely toned solid nickel scabbard fittings look great! The ball remains completely round with one or two small bruises. All four screws remain intact! The lower scabbard fitting has had some strain on it at some point in its life as the metal has slightly pealed back. The scabbard / crossguard fit is absolutely perfect and closes with a snap! Now I know the patina on the crossguards is different from the scabbard fittings, but the fit is perfect and the pommel nut's patina exactly matches the scabbard fittings. So, I honestly believe that this piece has been together its whole life and was just laying a certain way for it to accumulate nicotine differently. I wouldn't get concerned with this. The solid nickel crossguards are in excellent condition. The reverse of the lower crossguard is Gau stamped "Nrh" (Niederrhein). The grip / crossguard fits are near perfect! The brown hardwood grip has a soft finish and looks great! There is one wee chip and one wee split just above the roundel. There are no cracks or major damage. The solid nickel eagle is beautifully detailed with a perfect fit. The SA roundel also has a perfect fit and retains 100% of its enamel. This piece has some character and an awesome blade!
