Here's a cool modified SA with a homemade vertical hanger, a rare maker and beauty blade! This one rates 7 out of 10 on the SA rarity rating. The bright blade on this one is awesome! The fit is perfect, the tip is perfect the crossgrain is stunning against the light and the dark acid etched "Alles fur Deutschland" motto and ?Ferd. Neuhaus Solingen? maker mark are both beautifully executed! The blade rates a solid Exc++/NM! It has just the slightest spotting throughout. The brown anodized scabbard looks good! It has some surface oxidization spotting throughout, and a wee pressure mark to the one side. I can't see the top scabbard fitting all that well, due to it being covered by the vertical hanger. The scabbard ring was taken off to allow this custom hanger to be added. The lower solid nickel scabbard fittings look great! The ball has a wee bump, yet still retains a round shape. The two bottom screws remain intact and "I'm pretty sure the top two are as well. The scabbard / crossguard fit is perfect and closes with a snap! The solid nickel crossguards are in excellent condition. The reverse of the lower crossguard is Gau stamped "No" (Nordsee). The grip / crossguard fits are near perfect! The brown hardwood grip looks great! There is one wee hairline above the roundel along with some minor bruises throughout. There are no cracks or chips. The solid nickel eagle is beautifully detailed with a perfect fit. The SA roundel also has a perfect fit and retains 100% of its enamel. This piece has some character with a non-standard vertical hanger and an awesome blade!
