Early Gusthof Haker SA
The blade on this one is a bright example that has been cleaned hard along the way, just traces of crossgrain remains. The motto still has frosting to the letters. The tip is perfect. Blade rates an Exc/Exc+. Scabbard body has a good dent to reverse along with marks and small hits. It's been repainted, when? Who knows? The nickel silver fittings show light period wear and the ball is near perfect. The patina is about one shade lighter on the scabbard so it may have been switched at some point, I know I'm being anal here but I want you to know everything!! The fits are good and the screws are all intact and unturned. Dark hardwood handle shows wear, stains and one miniscule flake out of the top reverse right. Yes, I could shoe polish this and make it disappear but that, I leave to you if you so wish to do it. Eagle is perfect and roundel retains 100% of enamel. The crossguard is gau stamped "Ha". Blade is perfectly set into the crossguard. A good buy here.
