A super piece here! The bright blade on this one looks excellent! The crossgrain shines nicely in the light! The dark and crisp acid etched "Alles fur Deutschland" motto and double Oval maker mark are beautifully executed! The fit remains nice and tight and the tip comes to what looks like a perfect point! I just measured this and it's 217mm. Normal length on this is 220mm =/-2mm so this has been repointed by at least the width of a dime. Not much and you would not know unless you measured. The blade rates a Exc+ and were it not for the length would be NM. There is some minor age and runner marks. The brown anodized scabbard has a nice finish with honest wear I would say 99% of the anodizing and 90% of the factory lacquer!!!! It remains completely dent free! The solid nickel scabbard fittings and crossguards remain in great shape! They have matching patina and wear. The reverse of the lower crossguard is marked ?Wm?. The ball remains perfectly round and all four screws remaining intact! The scabbard / crossguard fit is perfect and closes with a snap! The hardwood grip looks great! It shows the common pressure marks throughout. No cracks or splits! The grip / crossguard fits are near perfect! The solid nickel eagle retains beautiful details and has a perfect fit. The SA roundel also has a perfect fit and retains 100% of its enamel!
