A good piece here! The bright blade on this one looks good! The blade has some light scratches from where it looks like some one used like a Brillo pad to clean it at some point. The crossgrain shines nicely in the light! The frosted acid etched "Alles fur Deutschland" motto and sideways maker mark are beautifully executed! The fit remains nice and tight and the tip comes to a perfect point! The blade rates a Exc+ There is some minor age and runner marks. The brown anodized scabbard has a nice finish with honest wear I would say 99% of the anodizing remains with some light oxidizing. It remains completely dent free! The solid nickel scabbard fittings and crossguards remain in great shape! They have matching patina and wear. The reverse of the lower crossguard is marked ?Fr?. The ball has a hit in the bottom. All four screws remaining intact! The scabbard / crossguard fit is perfect and closes with a snap! The hardwood grip looks great! It shows the common pressure marks throughout and a wee flake to the reverse lower right corner, and yes, I am anal. The grip / crossguard fits are near perfect! The solid nickel eagle retains beautiful details and has a perfect fit. The SA roundel also has a perfect fit and retains 100% of its enamel!
