Here's a rare one just purchased from the family. It's never been in a collection. The blade on this one has some age and scuffs. The fit is nice and tight. The acid etched "Alles fur Deutschland" motto and bulldog maker mark both still look nice. The blade rates an Exc+. The anodized scabbard is in good shape with good finish. All of the screws remain intact. The ball has taken a hit. The solid nickel crossguards look good. The reverse of the lower fitting is stamped "Ho" off to the right corner exactly where it should be. I believe the hardwood grip is oak There are some pressure marks throughout the worse being at the roundel were it has taken a couple good hits resulting in some enamel damage. The roundel has a good fit. The issue eagle has been removed at some point and replaced with a SA/SS cap eagle. When? who knows? All I can say is this is how I got it from the family, it's never been apart.
