Here we have an excellent example, sold to us from an experienced collector! The bright blade on this one is in excellent condition! The fit is nice and snug and the crossgrain is stunning! The blade rates Exc++. The tip is about 1 mm short, and there is minor spotting throughout. The original leather buffer pad remains intact. The steel based, silvered plated scabbard looks great with 98% of its plating still intact! It remains completely dent free! The random pebbling throughout provides some nice detail and both throat retaining screws remain intact! The zinc based, plated crossguard and pommel are both in excellent condition. The medallion on the crossguard has fine vaulting to the swastika on the bird's chest and the cross in its talons. The brass pommel screw cap is not all buggerd up like so many of these we see. The orange toned trylon grip is in awesome condition! Overall this is a great piece and one you will be proud to own! Oh yea, it comes with a NM portepee too!
