A decent SA here. It rates 8 out of 10 on McSarrs SA rarity rating! The blade on this rates Exc/Exc+. The tip, fit and acid etched "Alles fur Deutschland" motto and "Spalteneder Solingen" maker mark all look great! The blade has some spotting, age grey and pitting. The brown anodized scabbard body remains completely dent free! It has some oxidization spotting throughout. The solid nickel scabbard fittings and crossguards remain in great shape! They have matching patina and wear. The ball retains its original round shape, with just one wee bruise. All four screws remaining intact and unturned. The reverse of the lower crossguard is marked ?Ho" (Hochland) to the far right, as it always is. The scabbard / crossguard fit is perfect and closes with a snap! The multi toned brown hardwood grip looks great! No cracks or splits! The grip / crossguard fits are near perfect! The solid nickel eagle retains beautiful details and has a perfect fit. The SA roundel also has a perfect fit and retains 100% of its enamel. A great price!
