A decent early SA Dagger. It rates 8 out of 10 on McSarrs SA rarity rating! The blade on this rates Exc/Exc+. The tip, fit are great. The acid etched "Alles fur Deutschland" motto and ?Paul Ebel Solingen? maker mark look good! The blade has some spotting and age grey throughout. The blade has also been cleaned, most likely an attempt at making it better. The brown anodized scabbard body has an oxidized finish with pitting throughout. It remains completely dent free! The solid nickel scabbard fittings and crossguards remain in solid shape. The bottom fitting has split open and the ball is hit. All four screws are now intact. I replaced the two bottom ones. The reverse of the lower crossguard is marked "Wf" (Westfalen). The scabbard / crossguard fit is perfect and closes with a snap! The brown hardwood grip looks excellent! No cracks or splits! The grip / crossguard fits are perfect! The solid nickel eagle retains beautiful details and has a perfect fit. The SA roundel also has a perfect fit and retains 100% of its enamel.
