A super SA by a rarer maker! It rates 9 out of 10 on McSarrs SA rarity rating! The blade on this one looks great! The dark acid etched "Alles fur Deutschland" motto and ?Gustav Wirth Solingen Grafrath? maker mark beautifully contrasts the bright blade! The fit remains nice and tight and the tip comes to a perfect point! The blade rates an Exc+/Exc++. There are a few spotting dots, surface scratches and age grey throughout. The brown anodized scabbard body looks superb! It remains completely dent free with most of the original factory lacquer remaining! The solid nickel scabbard fittings and crossguards remain in great shape! They have matching patina and wear. The ball remains perfectly round and all four screws remaining intact! The reverse of the lower crossguard is marked ?Nm" (Nordmark). The scabbard / crossguard fit is excellent and closes with a snap! The brown hardwood grip looks great! No cracks or splits! There is the common pressure mark throughout along with a few flakes. The grip / crossguard fits are near perfect! The solid nickel eagle retains beautiful details and has a perfect fit. The SA roundel also has a perfect fit and retains 100% of its enamel. A great SA with a desirable marker!
