SS Daggers are the pieces everyone wants in there collection, and we have just the one here for you! The bright blade on this one looks good! It is a factory ground Rohm and the "In herzlicher freundshaft, Ernst R?hm" inscription has been completely removed. The acid etched "Cal Eickhorn Solingen" maker mark and "Meine Ehre heisst Treue" motto still look great! The blade / crossguard fit is perfect, as is the tip. The blade rates Exc+. It has been cleaned at some point in its life and the edges are a bit rough. The black scabbard looks nice! It has been post-war painted. There is one pressure marks to the back and one hit to the side. The scabbard fittings look great! All four screws remain intact and the ball remains perfectly round. The scabbard / crossguard fit is perfect and closes with a snap! The solid nickel crossguards look great, matching the scabbard fittings in color and wear. The reverse of the lower crossguard is correctly district stamped "III" (Berlin). All the angles are correct and the grip / crossguard fits look great. The black hardwood grip looks really good. It has some flaking to the reverse-top. Finding an SS grip with no chips is really hard to come by. The solid nickel eagle is beautifully detailed and sits perfectly in the grip. The SS roundel retains 100% of its enamel and also has a perfect fit. Decent piece great price!
