A decent piece at a great price! The dark acid etched "Alles fur Deutschland" motto and "RZM M7/51? maker mark are both beautifully executed! The fit is nice and tight and the tip comes to a perfect point! All crossgrain remains visible. The blade rates an Exc+. It has age staining/pitting the worse of which is where the runners have rested over time. The brown scabbard looks worn with lots of scratches and it remains completely dent free! The ball has a bruise has one wee hit, yet it retains its original round shape. All four screws remain intact and the fitting has great finish with 99% of the plating intact! The scabbard / crossguard fit is near perfect and closes with a snap! The nickel plated hilt fittings show some oxidation and peeling. The brown hardwood grip is nice. There is a rub to the upper reverse but no chips, cracks or splits! The desirable early nickel eagle is beautifully detailed with a perfect fit. The SA roundel also has a perfect fit and retains 100% of its enamel. A very reasonably priced Veteran family purchased example that has never been messed with.
