The August Müller KG, Rasiermesserfabrik, company began in 1892. It registered in Solingen on February 28, 1902. That same year it registered its "BISMARCK" trademark. The company specialized in making straight razors, hair clippers, pocket knives and cutlery. Bismarck was successful in its hair clippers business throughout the 1920's. During the Third Reich, the company made some early era SA daggers c.1933/34. In 1935, the company was located on Beethoven Strasse 203 in Solingen-Merscheid. That same year it received its RZM M7/4 code, though it was revoked on November 11, 1937. No RZM marked pieces have been observed. The company liquidated its assets in May 1961. It is probable that the company operates at some level to this day.
