The E. H. Otto Curdts Nachfolger GmbH, Stahlwarenfabrik, company was established in 1851. The dual downward pointing swords on a triangle "Fabrik-Zeichen" trademark was registered on April 14, 1859. The owners were recorded as: Ernst Heinrich Otto Curdts (1851-1895), Joseph Beckmann and Carl W Rohr (1895-1914), as Hugo Kehlen and Karl Bongs (1928-1939) and A. Marcks (in 1939). In the early 1900's, the company resorted to the "Curna" "Wort-Schutzmarke" trademark and brand name. Curdts Nachf. marketed: all types of cutlery, bread, butcher's, meat and vegetable knives, scissors for all purposes, hunting, pocket and penknives, and also razors. In 1935, Curdts Nachf. was located on Breite Strasse and at Heinrich-Diehl Strasse 7-9 in 1939. During the Third Reich, Curdts Nachf. made SA/NSKK daggers. Curdts Nachf. likely ceased trading shortly after the war.
