The Emil Voos Waffenfabrik company was founded in 1925. It registered with the Solingen chamber of commerce in 1930. Voos was located in Solingen at Dingshauser Straße 36. The company specialized in: hunting, hiking and sporting knives. Many of their pieces can be observed in their sales catalog and price list (Katalog mit Preisliste) and their advertisement in Messer und Schere 1938. In 1935, Voos received their RZM license RZM M7/2. Voos produced a wide range of daggers and knives for the NSDAP and Wehrmacht during the Third Reich era, including: SA/NSKK, Luftwaffe, Customs, SS and many swords etc. The company also specialized in fine etchings, as seen on Army and Luftwaffe daggers. Voos was one of the largest manufacturers of Hitler Youth knives. Trading ceased shortly after the war.
