The Ernst Mandewirth Stahlwarenfabrik company was founded in 1898. Mandewirth registered in Solingen on December 14, 1906. In 1920, their product list included: scissors, pocket knives, straight razors and promotional items. Mandewirth specialized in folding knives without springs, but also offered fixed daggers/knives and folding knives with lockable blades. The eagle on two globes trademark was registered in 1918. The 1922 advertisement above markets: pocket knives, bread, meat and vegetable knives, cutlery and brushwood knives. The company was located on Solinger Straße 48 in 1908-10 and Katternberger Straße 174 in 1922-39. The Mandewirth company received their RZM M7/20 code in 1935, yet it was revoked on February 18, 1936. A subsequent application may have been made, resulting in the grant of RZM M7/89. The company ceased production on October 31, 1963.
