Gebr. Gräfrath, Gräwiso Solingen, Solingen | RZM M7/30


The Gebrüder Gräfrath Fabrik Feiner Stahlwaren company was founded in 1859. It registered with the Solingen authorities on December 30, 1879. The 1922 advertisement above lists their offering of: garden knives, grafting knives, tobacco knives, hunting knives, electrician knives (Kabelmesser), professional knives and pocket knives. In 1935, the company received its RZM license and was located on Widderstraße 92. A Third Reich era "Musterbuch No. 26" catalogue illustrates on page 12 a: HJ/DJ knife, SA/NSKK dagger, fireman's bayonet and dress bayonet. It also included over fifty: staghorn gripped hunting knives, sheath knives and traditional Bavarian hunting knives. In 1939, Gräfrath was owned by: Karl, August, Friedrich Wilhelm and Ernst Gräfrath. In 1961, Gebr. Gräfrath was purchased by the "Hubertus Schneidwarenfabrik, Kuno Ritter GmbH & Co KG" company. Hubertus / Kuno Ritter continue to offer a wide array of classic German knives.
