The Gottfried Müller, Stahlwarenfabrik, company of Herges-Vogtei, Kreis Schmalkalden, began in 1925. It was listed in the directories as a Metallwaren-Fabrik company in 1925, as a Messerfabrik company in 1928, and as a Stahlwarenfabrik company from 1939-1942. Müller is known to have made scythes early on in its beginnings. A 1928 DRAB advertisement lists Müller as a manufacturer of: cutlery, cake, bread and meat knives. Müller received its RZM M7/54 code in 1935. Only early era SA/NSKK daggers are known to have been made during the Third Reich.
