The Gustav Ludwig Köller Taschenmesser & Federmesser (1892) / Stahlwarenfabrik company began in 1825. It registered in Solingen on July 17, 1896. It changed its name to "Gustav L. Köller Nachfolger" when it was acquired by the Martin family. Commercial directories list the owners as Johann Martin (1920-30) and P. Martin (1939). In 1935, the company was located in Solingen on Hauptstraße 255. That same year the company received its RZM license M7/60. It moved to Göringstraße 247 in 1939. During the Third Reich era, Köller manufactured HJ knives as well as SA/NSKK daggers. Herr Moll owned the company after WWII. Come 1970, the company moved to Friedrich-Ebert-Straß. Moll sold it to Christoph Trebbin on January 15, 1986, who then moved it to Wupperstraße 36. Köller finally closed on November 2, 1989.
