The Hermann Konejung Stahlwarenfabrik company was founded in 1873. It registered in Solingen on January 17, 1887. The 1892 Solingen City Directory lists Konejung as a manufacturer of "All kinds of fine steel ware." Specialties included: butcher, bread and table knives and forks, straight razors, pocket knives, scissors, etc. Come the First World War, Konejung was producing close-combat knives. By the early 1920s, Konejung was making a wide range of: pocket knives, scissors, razors, cutlery, professional and kitchen knives, fruit knives, and luxury tableware. The original factory was located on Kronenberger Straße 60 in 1932. Konejung primarily manufactured SA/NSKK daggers and HJ knives during the Third Reich era. Trading is believed to have ceased around 2005.
