Hugo Rader, Solingen
The Hugo Rader, Stahlwarenfabrik, company began sometime prior to 1904, when it registered its two jugs trademark. Hugo Rader specialized in the manufacturing of: safety razors and blades, straight razors, scissors, table cutlery, and bread, meat and vegetable knives. In 1913, the firm was located on Albrechtstrasse 1 in Solingen. Come the Third Reich, early era SA daggers were manufactured-Fisher estimates 4,000. In 1939, the company was recorded at Rathausstrasse 4 and then in Bonner Strasse 317 in 1960, when owned by Rudolf Ascheuer. The Hugo Rader company dissolved on December 23, 1971.
