Karl Burgsmüller, Berlin-Charlottenburg 5.
The Karl Burgsmüller & Co. company was a distributor from Berlin-Charlottenburg 5. The firm was awarded the RZM wholesale and agent contract to supply daggers to the NPEA (Nationalpolitische Erziehungsanstalten / National Political Institutes of Education). Mr. Ron Weinand covers this subject in great detail in his "NPEA Daggers of the Third Reich" (2007) reference book. The NPEA scabbards are known to have been made by E. & F. Hörster and it seems possible that Hörster also made the daggers. Burgsmüller used two types of maker marks on the blades, one with the Charlottenburg 5. and the other is void of the address. The company also distributed rifles.
