C. Remscheid & Co., REMEVE, Solingen | RZM M7/86
The Cuno Remscheid & Co., Stahlwarenfabrik, company began in 1910. In the 1920's, the business specialized in: garden, vine and poultry shears as well as asparagus knives. Come 1928, the company was recorded at Löhdorfer Strasse 323-5 in Solingen-Aufderhohe. In 1925, the owners were listed as Cuno Remscheid and Fritz Evertz. Come the Third Reich, early era SA daggers were made-Fisher estimates 1,000. By 1937, the company was listed at Nussbaumstrasse 51. REMEVE advertised, alongside its RZM M7/86 number, in the June 4, 1938, issue of Die Klinge as a manufacturer of SA daggers and Hitler Youth knives (above). No RZM marked pieces or Hitler Youth knives have been observed. By 1939, the owners were listed as Carl Remscheid and L. Wissemann. The company likely ceased trading after the war.
