Eduard Gembruch, Solingen-Gräfrath | RZM M7/8

The Eduard Gembruch Stahlwarenfabrik company began in 1871. It registered with the Solingen chamber of commerce on September 14, 1871. The Gembruch fish trademark was registered on September 28, 1871, and again in 1895. Early on, the company manufactured: cutlery, tableware and knives. In 1935, the company was located on Gräfrather Marktplatz Nr. 7. That same year it received its RZM M7/8 license. During the Third Reich era, Gembruch manufactured: Hitler Youth knives, SS's and SA/NSKK daggers, all of which are very rare. Fisher estimates that Gembruch manufactured 2000 SA daggers. Gembruch is best known for its early quality SS daggers. The company ceased trading in 1972.
