The Josef Reuleaux, Stahlwarenfabrik, company began on January 1, 1914. Reuleaux registered with the Solingen authorities January 15, 1914. In 1920, the firm registered the "7" (week seven) trademark. In the 1922 Solingen und sein Industriebezirk, Reuleaux advertised: cutlery, carving sets, meat knives, professional knives, straight razors, safety razors, safety-razor blades, and scissors. In 1932, the firm was registered in Solingen-Wald at Baustrasse 38. Come the Third Reich, early era SA daggers were made-Fisher estimates 1,000. By 1939, the owners were Joseph and Egon Reuleaux and the company was situated at Dürerstrasse 16. Josef Reuleaux dissolved on October 23, 1957.
