The Hugo Linder C.W. Sohn, Stahlwarenfabrik, company began in 1890. It registered with the Solingen chamber of commerce on April 7, 1920. In its beginnings, it focused on metalsmithing and manufacturing cutlery, pocket knives and fittings. During the Third Reich, Linder manufactured early era SA/NSKK daggers. In 1939, while owned by Hugo Schachtsick, the company was located on Weyerstrasse 263 in Solingen-Weyer. Around that same year it received its RZM M7/114 code. The company finally dissolved on March 28, 1957, while located on Bruderstrasse.
