The Paul Seilheimer Waffenfabrik company began in 1917. It registered with the Solingen chamber of commerce on July 21, 1917. The company primarily focused on knives and edged weapons. In the 1930s, records indicate the operations were divided into two separate groups. Abteilung I, manufactured: sabers, bayonets, daggers and hirschfängers. Abteilung II made: knives, cutlery and associated products. The company was located on Albrecht Straße 18 in 1931. Seilheimer's Third Reich era catalogue features: army and police swords, daggers for the Army, Navy, Luftwaffe, SA/NSKK and customs, dress, police and fireman bayonets, the HJ knife and hirschfänger's for the forestry and the shooting association. On May 22, 1970, the Seilheimer company ceased trading.
