Wilhelm Halbach, Solingen | RZM M7/35


The Wilhelm Halbach Stahlwarenfabrik company was founded in 1928. It registered with the Solingen authorities on March 3, 1931. The company was located on Scheidter Straße 8 in 1933. Come the Third Reich era, Halbach made HJ knives and SA/NSKK daggers (though are extremely rare). In the 1950 advertisement above, the company manufactured: cutlery, straight razors, scissors, professional, household and pocket knives. In the 1970s the company moved to Schlagbaumer Straß, then Schlachthof Straße 18 in 1983 and Mangenberger Straße 289 in 2000. The business was later acquired by Manfred Knott, who renamed it: "Wilhelm Halbach, Inhaber Manfred Knott." The company continues to manufacture: scissors, nail files and nail clippers (along with cases for them) in a workshop on Untenhöhscheid 12 in Solingen.
