The Paul Weyersberg & Co. Waffenfabrik company was founded in 1840. It registered with the Solingen chamber of commerce on February 1, 1921. Weyersberg manufactured: cutlery, knives and swords. Between the two world wars they continued to manufacture edged weapons. Come the Third Reich era, Weyersberg became one of the largest suppliers of edged weapons in Germany. The vast majority of their pieces featured the well-known sword-and-wreath maker mark. Multiple advertisements published in the 1930s list a vast array of offerings including: swords, daggers and bayonets. An advertisement from Die Klinge in July 1936 (that includes "HJ-Fahrtenmesser") states that they "Specialize in manufacturing all forms of edged weapons." Weyersberg had an affinity for: Luftwaffe, RLB and Postal Protection daggers along with DLV/NSFK and gravity knives. The company was situated on Walter-Dodde-Straße 25 in 1939 (renamed Grünstraße). They received the RZM M7/43 code in 1935 and their bayonet wartime letter-code: "crs" in March 1941. Weyersberg was listed in 1942 as a Schwertwerk (sword factory). Cutlery and tableware were produced when work resumed after the end of the Second World War. This lasted only for a short time as the company dissolved on February 15, 1955.
