The Richard Plümacher Sohn Stahlwarenfabrik company began around 1922 from the restructure of the "Richard Plümacher" Messerfabrik company. It registered with the Solingen authorities on September 3, 1934. It began as a cutlery manufacturer but soon expanded into other areas. During the Third Reich era, Plümacher manufactured: SA/NSKK, Army, Luftwaffe (1st and 2nd Model) and RAD daggers along with NSFK/DLV and HJ knives. In 1939, while owned by Ludwig Plümacher, the company was located at Klingenstraße 8. After World War II, Plümacher continued to manufacture: hunting and sporting knives, carving sets and cigar cutters. The firm eventually moved to Meigener Straße. By October 31, 1962 Plümacher ceased trading
